Unlucky '7' for nuisance Ham tenant
Richmond Housing Partnership obtained a court injunction this week in just seven hours. The court order against a Ham tenant who had assaulted a family member and verbally abused some neighbours in the morning was granted at 3pm on the same day.

Issuing an injunction on the same day as an incident is virtually unheard of and was only possible due to the quick response of RHP's Anti Social Behaviour Advisor Andrew Nowakowski. Within an hour of submitting the injunction request at court it was granted for a one-year period, enforcing an exclusion zone with a power of arrest. Andrew took the injunction straight to the police station, where it was served while the defendant was still in custody.
RHP's ASB manger, Ian Whiteway said: "We will not hesitate to take firm action against the very small minority of people who cause nuisance in Richmond. Hopefully this order will make any tenant think twice before committing any anti-social behaviour and facing the serious consequences for breaching an injunction. If the tenant does anything which breaches the terms of the injunction it can result in up to two years' imprisonment and an unlimited fine for contempt of court."
