Online payments

All you need is a debit/credit card and you can make a payment 24 hours a day at your convenience. Please note that you need to allow two to three days before RHP receives the payment. To make a payment online simply click on the ‘My services’ section above. You can make a payment without registering first, however if you do register you will be able to access a whole range of online services to manage your account with us.

Payment by Direct Debit

This is an instruction to your bank or building society to make a regular payment to us from your account. All you need is a bank or building society account. This option allows us to automatically collect the correct rent due and requires no action by you when your rent changes. All Direct Debits are backed by your bank’s Direct Debit guarantee. If you would like to pay by Direct Debit, please download and print our direct Debit mandate form by clicking on the link on the right hand side of this page. Alternatively. contact our Rent Income and Arrears Team on 0800 0322 433.

Payments with rent Allpay cards

The Allpay card is a plastic swipe card that has your name and rent account number on it. It allows you to make a payment at any Paypoint outlet or Post Office™ branch. You can pay by cash or use a debit card at most outlets when using your Allpay swipe card. The card has no monetary value and you can request a payment card by contacting our Customer Service Centre on 0800 0322 433.

You can search for payment locations by visiting the AllPay website. Paypoint outlets are usually located in newsagents, garages and convenience stores.

Direct payment of Housing Benefit

If you receive Housing Benefit, you can arrange for it to be paid direct to RHP. Direct payment of Housing Benefit to RHP is a convenient method of payment. It will save you time as your payment reaches your rent account without you having to make another transaction to RHP.

Over the phone

Payments can be made by debit card over the phone by contacting our Customer Service Centre on 0800 0322 433 from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). We are not able to accept Electron debit card payments by phone.

Standing Order payments

You can set up Standing Order payments from your bank account and agree with your bank on what frequency you want your payments to be made. RHP does not have any control over Standing Order payments as it is an arrangement directly between you and your bank. This means that you are responsible for amending your payments if your rent changes.

Using your rent book

You can use your rent book to pay by cash or cheque at your local bank. Payments usually take three working days to show on your account.

In our office

You can use your debit card (including Electron debit cards) at our offices based in Twickenham and Ham.

By post

If you wish to send a cheque payment by post, you need to include your name, address and rent account number on the reverse of the cheque and ensure you allow enough time for it to reach us.

Direct from your benefits

If you have rent arrears and are in receipt of Income Support, Pension Credit or income based Jobseekers Allowance, you can arrange for payments to be made towards your arrears direct from your benefit entitlement. Direct deductions, which are more formally known as the ‘third party deductions scheme’ are made when there is a debt and if there is enough benefit to cover the payments. Deductions are made on a weekly basis and are usually paid to RHP on a four-weekly basis.
