We're offering fuel vouchers
We understand there are times when you may need a little extra financial support, especially during this time of the year with winter coming and energy rates rising. If you’re struggling or falling behind with your energy bills, we can give you a fuel voucher to help.
Simply use our Better Off calculator and send us proof of a deficit with your energy bills using our contact form and the subject line ‘Energy Support’.
For longer-term support, please contact your energy provider as many of them are currently offering grants and reductions in payments.
Winter fuel payments for pensioners
The Government’s winter fuel payment is now only available to pension-aged customers on pension credit or other means tested benefits. If you’re no longer eligible for winter fuel payments, there are several alternatives available to you:
Pension Credit
Did you know that £1.7 billion in Pension Credit went unclaimed last year? We urge you to make an application for Pension Credit. This could boost your yearly income by £1,900.00.
You can apply here: www.gov.uk/pension-credit
If you make an application and send us proof of this to [email protected], we’ll also give you a fuel voucher.
Attendance Allowance
Attendance Allowance can be paid to people who have reached state pension age and need help with personal care or supervision due to a physical or mental disability. You could be entitled to Attendance Allowance if:
• you have a physical disability
• your disability is severe enough for you to need help caring for yourself or someone to supervise you, for your own or someone else’s safety
• you have needed that help for at least 6 months.
You can apply here: www.gov.uk/attendance-allowance.
