RHP’s apprentice programme

17th March 2016

We have a vision of being one of the best employers in the country. To help us achieve this, we introduced our apprenticeship training scheme in 2009. We currently offer 12 apprenticeship places across all areas of the business, including Housing, Communications, HR, Caretaking, Asset Management, Repairs, Co-op Homes and Health and Safety.

In partnership with Way to Work, the scheme gives local young people meaningful employment opportunities and demonstrates our on-going commitment to invest in our people and our local communities.

What's involved?

The apprenticeship programme gives an excellent foundation in business administration and customer service and a fantastic opportunity to achieve a professional qualification. We develop personal and technical skills to ensure apprentices are set up for success in taking up future employment opportunities. By the end of their training,  apprentices have the skills to go on to permanent employment either within RHP or another organisation.

Since the start of the scheme, we have had 13 people successfully complete their apprenticeship and all went into permanent employment.
