Following the latest Government
announcement that England will be entering into a full lockdown from Thursday 5
November, we can confirm our services will continue as normal. This
includes repairs, planned works, gas safety and caretaking services, which can
all still operate within the latest guidelines.
The safety of our customers and
employees remains our top priority. We’ll help keep you safe in the
following ways:
- In order to carry out your repair or gas safety check safely, the operative will ask you a few simple questions before entering your home. They may ask you to go into a different room whilst they carry out the work and will remain two-metres apart at all times. We ask that you also respect these social distancing measures – otherwise the operative will have to stop the repair and leave your home. Government guidelines state that full Personal Protection Equipment (e.g. a mask) is not needed for this type of work, however some operatives may choose to wear a face covering. All will wear gloves and use wipes.
- We ask that if you or anyone in your household has
symptoms of Coronavirus or if you’re shielding, please do not book your repair
online. Instead, please speak to us by Live Chat or
phone. This is to protect all customers and RHP employees and is in line with
Government advice.
- Our Caretakers will continue their work as usual,
whilst maintaining social distancing (we ask that you remain two metres apart
from them too). This will include deep-cleaning floors, removing bulky items
from communal areas (as a fire risk), pulling out or rotating refuse bins to
make sure they are collected by the Council and checking communal lighting. This means some areas will be isolated for a short while
to carry out these works safely.
- Our office in Teddington will be closed to all
customers and visitors.
