RHP to partner with Legal and General Affordable Homes
Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH) announced this week that it has partnered with 14 established housing associations, including West London provider RHP. The providers will form a panel which will lead its housing operations across the UK. Creating a nationwide network of management partners, the panel will bring local expertise and the established infrastructure to support Legal & General in delivering its pipeline of 3,500 affordable homes.
RHP’s Chief Executive David Done says: “We’re thrilled to have been selected as one of LGAH’s partners for this exciting new venture. We were attracted to working with L&G due to our shared values. Just like us, customer service sits at the heart of everything they do, they’re focused on doing the basics brilliantly, value their employees, see innovation as solving real-world problems and they’re passionate about helping to solve the housing crisis. By extending our services in this way, it’ll enable our resources to go further and positively impact the lives of more people”.
RHP were selected following an extensive, two stage tender process, launched in March 2019, which received 140 expressions of interest. Legal & General has selected partners with regulatory ratings of V1/G1 and who have demonstrated a commitment to deliver exceptional customer services to residents.
Establishing strong partnerships with like-minded organisations in this way is a key part of RHP’s five-year strategy. Now into the second year of their strategy, RHP plan to build 1,000 new homes by 2023. Their aim is to meet a broader range of needs across West London with homes for affordable rent and Shared Ownership, as well as expanding their offer to the intermediate market.
