Updated Governance & Viability rating

Published: 30/04/2025

We have received an updated Governance and Viability rating of G2/V1 from the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). We previously held a G1/V1.

The RSH uses a system of ratings to assess the performance of social landlords in two key areas: governance and financial viability. Governance ratings (G1-G4) evaluate how well a landlord is run, while viability ratings (V1-V4) assess its financial health and ability to deal with various scenarios.

Whilst we continue to meet all regulatory requirements and have maintained good overall performance, our revised rating reflects longstanding challenges with our repairs service. As we’ve communicated to you previously, we already have a plan in place to improve the service.

As we’ve recently announced, we’ve also made the mutual decision with our repairs partner Kier Places, to end our partnership by the end of 2025.  We’ll use the coming months to develop a new in-house service model, which best fits the needs of you and your home.

Retaining our V1 rating reflects our financial stability and capacity to continue to invest in your homes and services.

As we progress through 2025/26, we’re committed to getting things right and putting you at the heart of everything we do.
