RHP Group secures £70 million funding package from Barclays

We’ve secured a £70 million funding package from Barclays, unlocking the next phase of investment in new affordable homes, existing properties and low-carbon improvements.

The funding will enable us to continue investing in our existing homes, deliver new housing for local people and accelerate our sustainability ambitions.

The investment builds on a number of significant projects already underway, including our landmark Ham Close regeneration scheme, which will deliver 452 new homes, and our retrofit programme in Barnes, where 208 homes are being upgraded to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

Sarah Thomas, RHP Chief Executive, said: “We are proud of our next growth phase providing safe, secure homes in a way that’s environmentally sustainable and adds value for local communities. Having the right funding in place will enable us to continue to invest in our existing homes to meet energy standards, as well as providing more new homes for local people.”

Mark Wecki, Relationship Director at Barclays UK Corporate Bank, said: “As demand for safe, secure and sustainable housing continues to rise, RHP is stepping up to support communities across London and the South East. We’re pleased to support its plans with a funding package that will further its impact.”

Over the past five years, we’ve built around 250 new homes for local people, helping to fulfil our purpose of providing safe, secure homes – opening the door to life opportunities. This latest funding will enable us to build on that track record by investing in both new and existing homes while supporting the transition to more sustainable communities.
