Summer Smart: our guide to a great summer

As the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time of year to get out, explore, and enjoy our local area, but we know the extra costs and busy schedules can sometimes feel like a lot to manage. That’s why we’re launching our Summer Smart campaign. 

It runs from July to September, and it’s designed to help you stay safe at home and manage your money during the school holidays.

Each week, we’ll share simple tips on our Facebook page. Here’s what you can look forward to:

• Staying safe: We’ll share easy advice on things like using BBQs safely, keeping hallways and fire exits clear, and charging e-bikes properly. We’ll also have tips on how to keep children safe when playing with paddling pools and toys in shared spaces.

• Saving money: We know summer can be expensive. We’ll share tips on finding free local activities for kids, where to find "kids eat free" deals, and ways to manage your household budget.
