Published: 15/01/2026

We’ve been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK for the fourth consecutive year by the Top Employers institute.

The Certification demonstrates our ability to create a high-performing workplace through data-driven people strategies, independent validation, and a clear focus on practices that drive business performance, employee engagement and growth.

Active in 131 countries/regions, Top Employers Institute is the global authority in HR certification, benchmarking and advisory. Its Programme certifies organisations based on the results of its HR Best Practices Survey which covers six domains including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing.

RHP’s CEO Sarah Thomas says: “We’re proud to have retained our Top Employer status, which reflects the strength of our culture and the high quality of our people practices. It reinforces our commitment to being an inspiring and inclusive workplace, where colleagues can deliver the best for our customers, whilst finding their work fulfilling and enjoyable. Just as importantly, the robust process gives us valuable insight into where we’re performing well and where we can do better. We’re committed to using these insights to continuously improve our employee experience, because we know that when our people thrive, our customers benefit too.”

Top Employers Institute CEO Adrian Seligman commented: “Achieving a Country Top Employer Certification for 2026 reflects RHP’s dedication to building an outstanding workplace that enables sustained business performance. Their strong alignment between people strategy and organisational goals, combined with a commitment to continuous improvement, demonstrates the impact of their transformative practices. We are proud to recognise RHP for their meaningful contribution to a better world of work in the UK.”

Continuing to lead the way for workplace culture in our sector and beyond, we’re the only housing association to have been certified in 2026 in the UK, and are among leading brands such as Coca Cola, Lidl, and VodafoneThree.
