RHP Group gains Investors in People Platinum twice

We've received a Five Star grading in our recent British Safety Council’s Occupational Health and Safety Audit.

During this audit process RHP’s management, employees and other stakeholders were interviewed to confidentially discuss aspects of occupational health and safety relevant to their roles and responsibilities. The auditor also assessed the effectiveness of the implantations of these activities through an inspection of relevant sites and assessment of day-to-day operational activities.

The audit specification model includes six best practice indicators which are continually assessed throughout the audit process:

  • Leadership.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Risk management.
  • Organisational health and safety culture.
  • Continual improvement.
  • Wellbeing.

To receive a Five Star rating we had to showcase ‘best practices’ within all of these six elements.

RHP’s Chief Executive David Done commented: “Keeping both our customers and our people safe is, and always will be our number one priority. It’s really fantastic to see the dedication of our people making sure that we have the most rigorous measures in place has been recongnised in this way. It’s particularly heartening to see such strong feedback in relation to the ‘wellbeing’ element as looking after our people both physically and mentally is extremely important to us, particularly over the course of these past unique months.”

This result comes at a time where we continue to heavily invest in our customer health and safety measures, with a new sprinkler installation programme currently being rolled out on one of our major estates.
